Hey, I just wanted to say that your last long comment to anon. on my blog was great. Sometimes I get angry conservatives spouting off quick responses that really don’t help, but yours was obviously well thought over and I think anon. acutally got that one. You reminded me of the story of Moses and the struck stone. He tried to use an old prescription from God for the present situation, and it cost him the full reward of the Promised Land.

I often enjoy reading back through my old journals to see what I was going through and how God spoke to me in the past.

It’s good to reflect upon how the Lord has brought us to where we are. But as you said. “I need fresh wisdom and direction, and praise God that His Word actively and presently speaks!”

After all, we don’t want to be recording history over again in our Journals! God is real! Amen!

I really like this post! I’m relatively sure I would not have made the spiritual connection with the old perscription; good job with that one.

I often enjoy reading back through my old journals to see what I was going through and how God spoke to me in the past. While I can be encouraged by how God met me, it is important that I remember what you have said, that when I face trials now, I need to go directly to God, and to His Word. I need fresh wisdom and direction, and praise God that His Word actively and presently speaks!
