The Value of Opposition
March 13th, 2006Filed in: Theology, Culture, Podcasts

Ok, I’ve been wanting to do one of these for a while. But I finally got around to trying out some editing and here’s my first try at a Podcast.

It’s so hard to sound natural. To me it sounds ‘read’, my dad said it sounded like I had a chip on my shoulder. :D Oh well, it’s a first try. And forgive the recording quality, it’s all audioblogger has to offer. Next time I’ll think up something better for the music theme.

Those of you who have more experience… any tips at sounding more natural?

The Value of Opposition (1.5mb)
The Value of Opposition (400kb) for the dialupers like me

And no, I’m not planning on doing this regularly.

And also, expect something on Calvinism coming up. :)

    David,

That is great. How do you post mp3’s? Does it work on Blogspot?

Oh no, Calvinism? I am formulating a post too, but as you mentioned I have other things to do, so it takes a while.

  2. David Boskovic Says:

Yes, it’s very simple if you use audioblogger.com, which links up to your blog. Otherwise you have to find a place to host your file. Which I can do for you if you’d like.

Yep, know all about it. :)

    David,
That was great! It didn’t sound too strained at all, and it got better as you went along. You are right. Challenges help us to study and refine what we really believe.

  4. Thomas Says:

Hey, that was pretty good. You do have a bit of a sense of humor, lol…I found a couple parts rather amusing. :)

  5. Charity Says:

    David… I enjoyed this. :-D

Your way of speaking reminds me of the way radio broadcasts used to sound in the old days. It’s not completely relaxed, but it’s entertaining… like Paul Harvey or something. ;)

David, can you email me with some help? I have already written two different calvinism posts, but after I wrote them they don’t seem to “flow” or address your questions. Could you briefly clarify your exact question for me? That will help me write something with a frame of reference to be thinking of.

My email is bryceblog@mtintouch.net. Thanks much, Bryce

I think it was pretty good, minus the intro music. But then again, you’re just starting out so I’m sure that it will improve in the near future, right? Right. =P I’m glad you are sympathetic with dial-up, I’ve got it too. I have to wait at least 4 hours for ANYTHING to download it seems. Keep it up!

  8. David Boskovic Says:

Elizabeth: Thanks, I’m glad it sounded better as it went along, maybe the next one will sound even better. To God be the glory.

Thomas: LOL —oh my, pales I said this was going to be my serious blog. :P Yes I do, you’ll find it mixed in here and there. :)

Charity: Glad you enjoyed it, I never heard Paul Harvey, neither did I live in the old days. So I’ll take your word for it. :)

    Bryce: Done! :)

Emily: Minus the intro music. Right. How can you not be sympathetic with dialup when you have it yourself, it’s kind of by force. But I promise to remain sympathetic even after I get hi-speed. :D

The speaking part was good. You made some good challenges, and it sounded pretty good. The music sounds a bit like a horror film or something (not that I have experience in horror films). : p

More than looking stupid, I hate the conflict part. I will speak up if it’s something that needs to be addressed. But I won’t debate for the sake of debating. (I like researching issues that are brought up by others, though.)
I confess the stupid part is an issue, too. If it’s not something conclusive, of course I won’t have more than my own views, which I’m not very used to pushing, and I will “come up short.” So I will just leave avid debating to you guys.

    Have fun. : )
